 | 6th Feb 2004 | TGM
A selection of photo's of TGM buses and coaches at Byfleet. When I was Operations Manager at Byfleet, buses were always clean and graffiti free. Unfortunately times change and as recent visits to Hatton Cross have shown many buses at Twickenham are in a disgraceful condition. covered in graffiti and certainly not an invitation to travel on what should be a safe and welcoming mode of transport.

A collection of photos taken on Bank Holiday Monday 2 May 2005 at Sittingbourne and the museum at Kemsley.
Further photos were taken at the Centenary Celebrations at August bank holiday 2005.
Having been critical in May, i must eat my hat, what a superb day I had on August Bank Holiday Monday, the sites were clean and tidy and the loco's on show and in operation sparkled. More importantly, the trains were well used, not by enthusiasts but by families out for the day.

 | 29th May 2006 | Sellindge Steam Special 2006
The 2006 Sellindge Steam Spectacular took place over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. The images shown were all taken on the Bank Holiday Monday and you can see from the state of the grass how sodden the ground had become, thanks to the constant heavy rain over the previous few weeks. And they say there is a water shortage!
Despite the inclement weather, as usual the show was excellent, and apart from the engines in steam it was good to hear 37254 running its engines.
Hopefully the 2007 show will be held in good dry weather.

 | 21st Aug 2005 | Detling Steam Fair 2005
This was my first visit to the annual Detling Steam Fair and I am sure will not be my last. The £8 admission was extremely good value with hundreds of preserved buses, cars, trucks, vans and steam engines on display. Sorry I forgot the multitude of motorbikes and the auto jumble along with the craft and model tents and helicopter flights, £25 for 5 minutes with AV8. An air display by the Tiger club from nearby Headcorn was also featured. Appologies to the hundreds of car, motorbike and van/truck owners who I didnt take a picture of, your vehicles were, I am a pleasure to look at.
If you see your motor and would like a copy just drop me a line and I will be happy to oblige.
Excellent show, well organised, only gripe that buses and coaches could have done with more room! Still there is always next year.
Well done.
